Talking bus stops in Chichester are a fail

Talking bus stops are one of those things you never know about unless someone with a small key fob sets them off.
Much like the bolts under a crossing control box, they can be useful to many, but the chichester ones are a joke.  They sound like Max Headroom, where they work.

Bus stops so far found
Westgate, Cathedral Old Post Office , Cathedral 700, Hornet, Market Avenue 51/56.

Here are some of the clips from these stops.

Worzel Gummidge : the right and the wrong

Any child of the 80s will know you put a "Wor after W and a Wur after O" and lay bets on which way he would fall in the opening credits but the 2019/2020 version of Worzel allows us much more time to relive our youth and introduce the new generation to have a "slice of tea and a cup of cake"  (much like the Worst Witch) .

With the Xmas 2020 episode where they try and get Nancy back to the sea from Scatterbrook farm, someone on the sofa (not me) pointed out the "errors"

Its safe as no accidents have happened...yet

You know I love the FOI right? well I also love safe bus stops. Here I asked why a couple of them were "dangerous or difficult".
The sections are taken from their own SOP manual which for the last few years has been marked as draft even though its a working document.

This is a formal request for a safety audit on the following bus stops.
Please find the reasons I feel that the following stops are unsafe and
require a full assessment. Any section numbers relate to the publicly available SOP

Following a recent FOI request it was discovered that West Sussex have not undertaken risk asessments for bus stops in years!
We asked some really simple questions and the results were shocking. Apparently they also work from a DRAFT copy of a manual instead of a final copy. So i suggest you all go and request a full risk asessment of your local bus stop now!

1.  A list of any safety audits relating to bus stops and their locations
within the Chichester, Bognor, Tangmere, Pagham areas. This should include
the dates and result.

Bognor Bus Stops

A while ago i posted about the Brighton area bus stops that just didn't make sense. this time i will post about Bognor and Chichester.

Bognor town center has a good one by the post office where the yellow box (remember buses should stop on the yellow line if the bus stop is empty) that goes way beyond the kerb and blocks the side road.
This means buses have to pull up short to service it and by doing so block the loading bay.

Brighton and Hove bus stop problems

While travelling on the buses i notice a few slight issues with the bus stops in the area

In the university,  sussex house should  build out to level with road as impossible to safely get a bus in without running people over or pushing them into the bush.

Bus spotters - the pain

There is a certain breed of bus lovers, the anoraks, different to the geek variety.

Anoraks are the traditional people who sit on the kerb with a little book of numbers, sandwhiches and a thermos flask. Brighton has a regular company of these people. Now, do not get me wrong, i do not mind people attending bus rallies and taking pictures (except where they ask you to turn the bus aroaund to get the better picture), i do mind the people who step out in front of you or distract you to get the money shot.
we have several techniques for the photographers.

You can slightly move the bus to the side to avaoid a pigeon or something.
You can forget that you have placed your hi-viz on the dashboard.

Wave at the photographer, or you can make it very clear you are taking their picture. on one day this week was a very rare occasion where there were 4 standing together and one standing the other side of the fountains,
