Recently you may have read my article on how Network Rail couldnt care less.

After nearly a week with the "ticket" reopened i have had a response

Subject

How is Network Rail maintaining Access For All during the closure of both level crossing in Chichester?
Response By E-mail (John Eccles) (01/11/2019 02.36 PM)

I am writing in response to your question about Access for All, and the closure of both level crossings in Chichester. During the essential maintenance works whilst the crossings are closed we apologise for the disruption caused by lack of access.

Access for All is a government-funded initiative to make more stations in the network accessible to all, as at present too many stations have stairs and no lifts which mean that those stations are inaccessible for wheelchair users. Every few years the department for transport specifies a number of stations
for funding to make them fully accessible.

More information about the current Access for All schemes in Kent and Sussex in shown here:

I hope this information is helpful and if you have further queries please call our 24 hour helpline on 03457 114141.

Kind Regards

John Eccles
